I rented a bike in sunriver, oregon, USA while on summer vacation. I loved it so much I bought one. Now I am curious if anyone can help me find out more information about this bike. The frame # is 640 486 A. I was told that the bike was hand made by a father/son team in U.K. Can anyone help with more info? Thanks.

Re: origin of my cheltenham pedersen bike
The first Cheltenham Pedersens were in fact Copenhagen frames imported from Jesper Solling's workshop in 1981. But Chris Margenout soon went into production of his own very high quality frames in his 'Individual Bicycles' business - but production ceased in late 1986. Cheltenham, UK, is only about 30 miles from Dursley.
Your frame number 640486 probably indicates:
frame number 64, manufactured in April 1986 (64/04/86).
The Cheltenham-built frames have distinctive hand-made leather hammock saddles, with a little flap at the rear which covers the springs. The Individual Bicycles logo is embossed on the flap.
